Jane blushed and then said, "I think we need to change the protocol for our scholarships for the kids here. They've had nothing, or rather, almost nothing, all of their lives. I think, from now on, any child in this place that wants to continue their education will have that education payed for by us."

I then told her that we had formed another non-profit program to donate money in order for select organizations to become energy independent through solar energy. I thought the orphanage could use it just because of the power outages we used to suffer during major snow storms. The Mother Superior said, "Jane's father had proposed the same thing at the last board meeting he attended. We had a feasibility study done but didn't have the money. Are you saying we will now have the money?"

I laughed and said, "That's exactly what I'm saying! When we get back home, Judy and I will work out the details and then funnel the money to you to complete the project. I do have one request to make of you, Lily and I are going to be coming out this way in a year or two to conduct interviews with, primarily, Hispanics regarding their immigration experience. Mother Superior steepled her fingers and thought for a few moments and then said, "I'll call the doctor we usually use and make an appointment for her.
