Mercury

Quicksilver dreams rush me to slumber
where I find awaiting arms.
I am nearer to Paradise just gazing into your eyes.
Your smile brings me greater rapture
than any far-away star knows.
My soul found your soul and knows wholeness.
Your name is the greatest song to my ear.
Your voice rips through me
--an electric orgasm.
Better even is your touch,
which brands me as yours
from now until the end of time.
To soar into your embrace is the very ecstasy
that all mystics seek
because it is there,
in your arms,
that I find truth and perfection.
