Breakthroughs,
stars in the night skye
Wake me in the starlight
That soft gleam on a moonless night;
Those cool sands shifting underfoot;
Their footprints slowed and then erased
wiped clean by the winds

None walked here save the winds
Whisper'd glances   smitten thoughts,
Come and lie down beside me.

Those are the artefacts of my life
Take them and fashion my epitaph
How could that be
                           I am burnt
no markers for me

Gaia cried and that will suffice
those heaving's   those roilings,
those ripples across that sheened flesh
Mine I said
                           or did she not hear?

Some excellent phrasing here...

but I wondered about the contraction on whispered and then later on heavings. Very different, very good...

Beautiful

What a, dare I say, eclectic phrasing you manage to weave sometimes. A delight to read.
