I look back and maybe I was mute all my life. That funky mouth. Those fucked up teeth. Damn, my vanity. I thumb through photos and see fat lips and a smile. Just painted the plump offenders purple like the color of bruises. Kept them closed. Leaned back and took the licks I was lucky to get. I had forgotten about the dimple. Does this makeup look even? How's my hair? Don't look at me. Don't touch me. Think of me as a boy.
