Show me how you danced. Known him for years but I never had an urge to show him. I moved a little but not the hips and feet. I can't listen to the song without thinking of my shame as he watched close and critiqued when I did it despite my objection. Even thought about someone else to see if the real sway would come. I thought about the men in the band. Nothing. Just a twitch here and there and more shame. I blamed myself. Way back when, I was small and a much better dancer. Back then I wanted to.
