I can taste the HEAT
feel the rivulets of sweat
  washing my body
  numbing my soul
sense the thunder's ripple
the searing storm's flash
the inevitable rush to
  the knowing end
  as muscle and flesh contract
  while the inward eyes expand.

The head tilts back
lips agape as emotion spews
and the tidal force rips humanity away
as the primal scream escapes...

The following silence -
palpable
full
electric
complete
...renewing.

The August Moon
bright with reflections
  of tomorrow's sun
shimmering
shivering
calling forth from unknown depths
the being that I am
the ALL that I am
  for better or worse
til eyes softly close
and the breathing evens
the essence of peace
pervades again
prevails again
the essence of the world
returns
again.
