Today is the day even if you're not here.
I feel your ghostly presence so very near.

A special day without you is no day at all.
When you were here people would call.

Every day and every starry night.
A moment like this shining so bright.

A day like this, so empty without you.
I have no idea what else I should do.

I feel so alone without you around.
No one here to make any sound.

I hope you're happy wherever you are.
I'll have a drink now at the local bar.

A day without you tears me apart.
I miss the beating of your good heart.

I wish I could speak to you at this time.
To soothe this broken heart of mine.

In my opinion you went too soon.
I picture you dancing on the moon.

More and more I miss your advice.
The same words every once or twice.

Even though you're not here on this day.
Remembering moments right by the bay.

Goodbye mother, I'll see you soon.
Singing a song that's not out of tune.
