the stroke of midnight surrendered to the dance
twirling carousel of color heart and mind entranced

time stilled in river frozen crystal rests
between two heartbeats skating out of reach, yet closer than a breath

gaze sublimed in tides of pleasure deep within
consumed like ice in cradled kiss of restless tropic winds

lips brush a shivering inner music wells
brimming vessels fired and glazed in fevered rhythms cast in spell

the stroke of midnight captured and set free
the passing seconds measured
rain drops, falling in our minds and hearts, forevers keep
