Into the paradox that
Defines who I am
I am flesh and need,
Wracked by desires that drag me
Through the mud of lust.
I am spirit, too,
Torn apart by broken faith,
Needing healing truth.
Reconciling these
Is the work of a lifetime...
Painful and unsure.

I like how the poem began to develop, Dawn, but I think you ended it too soon. The last stanza didn't work for me. I think taking the reader on a journey of several more stanzas with images of where sensuality and spirituality co-exist effectively and others where they bump into each other can show rather than tell what is in the last stanza.
