Click hereThe scorching fullness of sunlight bursts to life just outside
A narrow hall clad in bland shades of color penetrating
Mind frames traveling over thoughts as dark as the night
That came before-
Encumbered by images, yet emotionless-
Groaning like a creaky chair- draped with freshly laundered
Linens- I crawl from shadows
With a tongue that’s dusty and parched
Knowing
No words of mine
Could possibly capture- the frosted pane
Of indifference cast over eyes swept
By the ocean- Yet they smolder inside
Ashy with embers
That Burn, (burn) this tumbling house
Down.
