Out of the Blue

as I get older it gets colder
way past half of my summers gone,
then I stop and think out here on the brink
when will I see this summer's dawn

yesterday Blue Rains cleansed my palette
washing away winter's gray leaving in it's stead,
beautiful things like sea oat greens
a sunny day with golden rays

sand left my hourglass forming a heavenly beach
ice cold Stella's floated by easily in reach,
"Comfortabiy Numb" I toast my provider
think I'll run down and drink one beside her
