On the shores of Molokai
There sits a fair maiden by
Watching as the ships pass her by
Wondering what they will supply

Perhaps some sugar cane from Kauai
Or bananas from Lanai

If only they could supply
Her longing for one handsome guy
One that would take her do-or-die
To some place in the sweet by and by
All her dreams to glorify

On the shores there sits a maiden
A maiden of Hawaii
