Time seems to stop and it can not heal
the pain and wounds we sometimes feel.
But with a gentle hug and smile,
the pain will ease, though it may take awhile.
Time seems to capture and take our youth.
With oils and lotions we try to hide the truth.
Why can't we accept our fate,
and realize, that life's not to late.
Time seems to steal our dreams from us,
and we fight it with a vengeful lust.
We battle wrinkles, scars, and grey,
each one of us, each and every day.
Time seems to take our fragile hands
and gives them pains in lass and lads.
Moans and groans of passionate nights,
no longer seem within our sights.
Time seems to stop for just a moment,
when we reflect and feel atonement.
Atonement for our past mistakes,
wishing we could do re-takes.
Time seems to stop and make me gaze
upon a loving tender face.
The face I see is not that bad,
but with a smile it makes other's glad.
Time seems to stop and make me say,
just remember to try and play.
Take a moment and make a wish,
perhaps you'll see a friendly dish.
Time did stop when I turned away,
and looked back at the steps I'd made.
I laughed and chuckled at my rhyme
and thought I will try better, next time
