Great believable protagonists. Aoife is feisty and fun and pure pleasure for a feminist critic to read about. She reminds my a little of the Captain of my university rugby team, who was a 2nd year medic called Clodha. (Apart from the physique of course; Clodha was a second row.) The backstory with Mark's confidence crushed after his first relationship is really well sketched in. As for a whole packet of condoms - that young man is an example to us all.

The Irish/English banter is very well handled.

I've toured that exact route. The Irish women in the City of Cork are among the Worlds most beautiful as is the Countryside in summer. This story had me back in the Republic, easily slipping into the role of "Mark", and having an insatiable taste for Pussy, I would have been eating Aoife the entire trip.
