As for the pace of the story and the characterization, I want to congratulate you. You have managed to make it so there's nothing rushed, and so the story is also very sensual. In my opinion it's perfect this way. Your characters are slowly connecting, and readers can feel it with intensity, which is positive - so much so that in a previous chapter even a spooning scene became such a hot scene, without it having to be raunchy. This was possible because the characters were so into each other and the reader felt it too. It has everything to do with characterization and pace. (I don't dislike "raunchy", but this is not what I'm trying to convey!)

Anyway I like this chapter too. I remember that you said that you had to decide the way the story was going, and that it was damn hard. Whatever decisions you had to make, for the time being I think you chose well. This chapter's scenes too are good; they were so damn hot. Can't wait for your update!

This chapter was so delectable, Akshi! All of your chapters have been a sort of "almost" for Heather and Vanessa -- something that can seem frustrating if it happened in real life -- but I think it's better that way because they are the perfect snippets of what's still to cum... I mean come. Haha!

I love this story but I wonder if us as an audience don't want them to finally have sex. The build ups were so intense and sexy that by this chapter it's almost as if it was too much, like we lost the innocence of the relationship.. I'm still excited for the next part but does anyone else get where I'm going?

Yea I kinda get it Anon. I think the buildup was a major part of the story - I will miss it. I don't know if holding off can/will continue to happen after the last scene though - but I feel like I am now ready for them to progress. AND I think the first time they make love - that scene is going to be WELL WELL worth it lol. However, I just don't want that to be the end of their story. Many stories end with the couple getting together, having sex and that is the end. I don't want that for these characters, I think their story has so much more potential beyond sex. However, the direction it takes is up to the writer, whichever way it goes I think it will still be excellent!

i agree with vggirl. what is making this story great is not just the build up to what we all hope will be a fantastic first time between vanessa and heather. it's that there is so much at stake for both women. beyond their shared emotional vulnerability, both having failed at their most recent serious relationships, is the fact that vanessa is heather's boss. an office relationship could put both of their careers in jeopardy. also, vanessa has hopefully put some serious thought into inviting this relationship into her daughter's life. a new romance is always a gamble for a single parent. these issues will not be cleared up when vanessa and heather make love. in fact, things could well become infinitely more complicated.

Please go on with this amazing story asap :)
