Well I guess if you had to find a place to end this wonderful tale , then I guess this is as good as any . I as many have previously said followed this through both chapters of this wondrous tale and I am sorry to see it end . But I understand you need a break and a change of pace . Those of us will await your next story line with bated breath . I am really sorry to admit this but Book 1 & 2 got the most fives I have I have given out in a long with the exception of "Three Square Meals " but it is in between chapters 83 & 84 . Alas he only puts out a chapter a month but they are usually around 9 pages .

Brilliant. Best thing I've read here in two years. Well drawn characters and a compelling narrative. And Kudos for choosing something as unusual as an Ordo Dracul for your Prince. I have been itching to know if Antoinette and Daniel are both Oathsworn, maybe Dying Light and Axe?

5* for faithfulness to the setting and for choosing to allow your kindred to not be withdrawn and emotionally hollow but mindful of their humanity and actually capable of love.

Hi I hope you read the comments or this will be all for naught lol but I have a few thoughts I'd like to share 1st. I highly suggest posting ur patreon link directly in your lit bio as it will get far more traffic than your Tumblr. 2nd while I saw on ur Tumblr that ur working on new stories (if there anything like the quality of this one can't wait to read btw), obviously for any writer money is the main issue it comes down to and for that I would suggest that you try to do something along the lines of Tefler and his TSM series, through his patreon he makes more just per chapter than his 1st ebook sales (at least the first month don't know the up-to-date figures) , while he obviously has a much bigger fan base to get to this amount, every story started small, and if I may say I like to think I have a good eye for story potential and "My little Venture" definitely has that potential, you have all the makings of an epic series right here, especially the potentially massive universe you've managed to craft yet have only lightly touched in detail. Not to mention you seem to be a quick and reliable writer which is one of the reasons TSM became so huge so quick. Personally I would highly suggest continuing this story and simply doing like Tefler did and allowing your patreon to be a chapter ahead,not only will this allow ur story to continue to gain followers on lit but will allow you to start having an income from a story and eventually once it's finished(please don't ever consider this story finished) you can remove it from lit ebook it and make a profit from the fans that want to continue reading it (similar to JazCullen and FTI saga, or Rachel Alexander and Destroyer of light (highly recommend btw)). This also applies potentially to any other series u write, tho since this one already has a start on a fanbase it seed the most logical. Sorry this post so long just thought I'd share my 2 cents and didn't have time to organize my thoughts, whatever you decide I sincerely implore you to continue this series, their's so much potential here for a true masterpiece. (Ps. I noticed some sex scenes we're larger than a page on lit and with ur avg chapter size 3ish lit pages I'd recommend you expand the story parts of chapters with such large sex scenes just so they don't seem to dominate the whole chapter, just my opinion for any future stories of urs)

Depending on how my Patreon goes, more stories in MLV will be happening. Problematically, writing large, complicated stories like this takes time. Writing in my spare time means they take years to write; hopefully I can start writing full time and output much much more.

Please tell me jack and Antoinette are monogamous and will continue to be,

She's experienced everything sexually possible, and they found love. please don't sully there romance by bringing other males and females into it. It would be nice to see that they are diffrent from the other vampires, in that he has kept more humanity, and she wouldn't jeopardize there love, as she has already done, all there is to do.

While I won't spoil what will happen in the future books, I'm not going to turn this into a 'make all the characters sleep together! At the same time!' story either.

Just to add my own thoughts to these comments, personally i'll just be happy whenever you continue this seriies. Because if i have to be honest, overall i'm generally sick to death of vampire stories but "My little venture" is a vampire story series i actually LIKE.

I also understand the sentiments about Jack and Antoniette because i would love to see them remain together as well. FIrst because they just seem like such a cute couple together. Second, because if Jack somehow incured Antoniette's wrath, he will have a ring side seat to see what it looks like when "hell have no fury like a woman scorned." Namely Jack would end up a pile of dust that wouldn't even fill up a roomba.

Though, on the other hand, i would love to see Jack having some level of romantic complication with Antoniette. Nothing to damage the relationship permenantly mind you but just enough to make Jack squirm trying to explain himself to the Prince.

Like for example, saving a woman by turning her into a ghoul or even becoming a sire to a female vampire.

As a Polyamorous guy I find this quite insulting though I hope that wasn't the intent. I'm guessing you see it as there being something "special" if it was just those 2 and anything else ruins that but you've just ignored the feelings of multiple polyamorous people who are head over heels in love with their partner(s) and yet still have room for more in their hearts.

Having other lovers in no way diminishes the love you have for your current partner anymore than having multiple friends or children diminishes what you feel for your current ones. As we poly people like to say "Love is infinite. Time is not". The time spent together could be compromised which would make the relationship less amazing but the act of loving extra people does not.

Rant aside I just want the relationship to evolve in a natural way in the books be it monogamish(with the ghouls), an attempt at polyamory(which is not just everyone sleeps together by the way) that works out or goes horribly wrong, or anything else.

I just found this series and you've had me hooked, I couldn't stop reading. There is tons of room for so many many many books. This is amazing!! You are so skilled and I really love this story. I write, but i tend to write the whole story or book first then want to release it in chapters. Other seem to write a chapter and then release it here. So I have a few stories going at the moment. I don't know how you work. so i have no idea how long my soul will be tortured waiting for the story to continue. I thank you for your work and look forward to the adventure continuing.

Jack and Antoinette was my favorite one... But Julia's and Beatrice was cool too.

I have so many ideas and hopes and plans and wishes for this universe and these characters for different couples. Someone for Maria, for Jacob, for Natasha (possibly Damien?) someone for the Sheriff, while in all these other multichapter stories our 4 old main characters would have to have more cameo appearances so we know what's going on with them and how they progress...

I really liked your story (or should I say, novel), even if I'm not a big fan of vampire literature. But I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the intrigue, and even the romantic side. And sex was a very appreciated bonus :)

Many of the chapters here have had little to no sex and have been all story. There's nothing wrong with to characters enjoying each other for a whole chapter. This is erotic literature not just porn. There will be romance! And most of us love it!

My guuuuyyyyyyy, have you even been reading? Did you miss the two dozen chapters of careful character development (even during and sometimes moreso during sex) , world building and insane GoT level plotting?

And too many of the same characters fucking? That's counter Intuitive to your first point? So you don't want established characters to have sex? Just a bunch of random ones fucking randomly? This isn't a stroke story, you're in the wrong section.

I know it’s been months but this comment has been made in more than one chapter. Rebecca is dead. Beatrice and Julias killed her. Jessica is Jessica as she always has been.

I called Rebecca Jessica in 3 chapters. A typo, but one I didn't think really needed correcting. Maybe I should resubmit and fix them though. :thinking:

Very good story so far. Well-rounded yet very complex environment, lots of interesting characters, lots of intrigue. Also, the story arcs of these first two parts were really good with dramatic showdowns at both culminations and unlikely hero Jack Terry.

As for the chars... Julias and Beatrice are my favorite pairing. I really dig their interaction. Julias is so super-Ventrue, whereas Beatrice has this fascinating mix of beastly strength and insecurity. The main protagonist Jack is very likable, but somethings seems off. He's too... powerful? I'm still at a loss how he survived that huge fire in part 1 with that devastating cut across his body. And in part 2 his domination of Damien seems too much. Sure, there is the explanation that Damien's mental barriers were weakened from his inner battle, but still. That dude has five decades of being a vampire over Jack. Antionette is an interesting character as prince of the city, and, man, did she put up a badass fight against those 30 something attackers. But that image of Jessica Rabbit with white hair is deeply rooted in me and does strange things to my perception of a vampire elder. The most intriguing character is Jacob, the devious Nosferatu puppet master in the background. I hope to read more about him, much more, especially now with Beatrice having joing the Circle of the Crone.

On with the next part...

So Bishop Damien. The rule was stated in front of EVERY kindred. The Santum had 3 days to fuck off or be hunted and slaughtered to the last. So everyone seems to have forgotten that Damien has already had his first reprieve from the sun 50 years ago.

Then with that gift of life he gave up the life of slaughter as a zealot and used his new life to watch over a wanted mass murderer, hide him, protect him and gather intelligence for him. Waiting for the right time to raise Lucas so the brainwashing could begin so a mob of suicidal plebs could soak up the damage allowing DAMIEN YET AGAIN to slaughter his way through innocents to kill the prince to install a totalitarian regime of zealots. Leading their preachings would be “ You can’t do (insert whatever the Archbishop wants) because god says so! God’s word is law and the only penalty is death.”

2 things. The above is the taliban if you include the death bit. Leave out the death bit and it’s the Poop of th Roman Catholic Church.

Either way Damien was a murderous zealot that was left to live. All he did was enable a further massacre of both combatants and noncombatants and take a leadership role in collecting sacrificial meat sacks and THE lead role in hunting to kill the Prince. I believe he said “ find the ghouls kill one as proof we’ll do it and take the other hostage.” Cunt. Every reprieve leads to him learning and doing even worse this even better next time.
