I did enjoy this story quite a lot. Obviously people can have disagreements. For me a bit more pain, a bit more sex. And perhaps labelling it non-consensual/reluctant rather than erotic horror, But those are certainly minor issues.

i made a comment about 12 hours ago. I'd like to add that the long-term restraint and isolation were effective as themes, as was, especially, the thought reform/mind control part of the story. Very good.

I suspect the lower rating is because people generally downvote intense kidnapping or NC. I loved this! Well written and such an interesting idea, tracking over years and not moments or days. Not having a medical background, I wonder if a person can even survive years of having their hands chained behind them. There has to be some long term damage being done. But it's a fantasy story so no harm done. I loved the characters, loved the premise and again, love reading well-written pieces. I hope to see more posts from you. That's why they call it "Stockholm syndrome", and 10 years of enforcement it would have been unreversible. But it would have been so sweet, if Jean would have run out the door before Lorraine caught her. Lorraine's life would have been over, then pay back would of happened. First she would have gone to prison for life, Jean would have reconnected with Simon, and married him. Jean would have gotten little Jean, and made more babies of her own! But no the Stockholm syndrome, and beatings, and 10 years of Enforcement did there job. It's to bad that this kind of thing really happens in this world. This was a really good story, but didn't understand why Lorraine was so cruel to Jean after she got her man, and how did Jean get feed, when she was Getting married and having a honeymoon and having the baby??

I was a little nervous about checking the comments of this one with the slightly lower rating but I really appreciate the (mostly) enthusiastic response! I think the issue is that this work is very difficult to categorise. It's got bondage in it, so maybe BDSM? But then it's also non-consensual but also not really (like, there's no graphic rape scene or anything). I ended up putting it in horror because it's a pretty horrific story, but then you run afoul of readers who just want to read about ghosts and vampires.

To give NAA credit, this is actually a story I'd sketched out as an edgy teenager! I stumbled across the story in an old notebook and I don't know why but I just needed to flesh the story out. Also what is it with negative commenters on this site almost always defaulting to, "never write again" or "this writer should be arrested"? I would say get better material but that would require you to write literally anything.

With regards to the medical side of things, I'm pretty sure this scenario is impossible, or at least Jean would be in a far more horrific state than she is in the story. Although of course there have been cases of people being held in long-term solitary confinement so I really couldn't say. Her vitamin D intake would be terrible unless Lorraine's been stuffing pills in her leftovers.

I actually do have a sequel story in the works, so stay tuned. I'm also concerned it'll be difficult to categorise so I fully expect a low rating for it too. C'est la vie!

I think Lorraine should be locked up in the basement. It would be great if the roles could be reversed just so she could see what that feels like. I actually feel saddened for Jean because what she's gone through is a horrible conditioning that I don't think even Lorraine herself could understand. I will read the second post just know I hate Lorraine. It's obvious she felt inferior to jean and was jealous that Jean had the guts to live her life as she see fit, whereas Lorraine didn't. She felt small compared to Jean which is why she needed to dehumanize her.

This is one of the best BDSM stories I have ever read. The flow of the story was really good, the timelines have been wonderful. The shuffle between past and present, the complex thought of a long time isolated prisoner has been well written. It started and ended in that small prison room, but it was never boring. I specially loved the bondage arrangement. She could roam around the room, but never free. The little freedom given to her on her fifth anniversary excited me. Very well written. Wish for more such stories.
