Having read a number of "fallen princess" stories, I couldn't help but notice the use of the terms "panties" and "zipper", which don't typically apply in stories like this because of the period, whether it be the dark ages, or the Victorian era. If you want to give a more accurate representation of the attire of whatever period you are portraying, maybe take some time to do a little research. The terminology you need is probably easily found on wikipedia. Just do a few minutes of research.
