A heart of brokenness
You were nothing less
Than life itself to me
My reason to be
The thing that always set me free
From all life’s fears
Chasing away all my tears
Without you all ends seem loose
Life just seems to have no use
The pain I cannot diffuse
Without you here to help me win the race
I will never keep its pace
Your death a senseless tragedy
That took away half of me
And brought me to my knee
How could they take you away
Didn’t they know how much I needed you to stay
