LeBrozover 17 years agoIf you want to work in a form so meter & rhyme-laden, try some additional work. Here's a sample suggestion from the 1st strophe, first as written:
"Another time, another place…
my tender touch on your face;
my whispered words in your ear.
These I’d do to still your fears."
Then with a little added tweaking:
"Another time, another place…
my tender touch upon your face;
I whisper words into your ear.
These I would do to still your fears."
Do you hear that slight, but significantly different sound?
