M&M is back with an excellent piece, just in time for the return of Winter and his snows ~ except here where workers are racking up the overtime to make up for a lean season and making sure the roads stay summertime naked ~ the highway's hum's as loud as ever.

Vivid

I love the imagery of this piece, lush & vivid

to rip-off a well known advert 'I'm lovin' this'

Ahhh...

such a sweet and descriptive little poem........ A naked highway does tend to get very 'tired'.

Rich imagery.

This poem is filled with wonderful word images and builds to completion.

"kerrunch"

Called to mind the sound a slow moving car tyre makes on fresh snow.

Antimetabolism?

Isn't that what makes losing weight so difficult? This is a lovely, evocotive poem, mm. A true ten.

because I really enjoyed it the other day as well (when it didn't have a title yet). I think your word choice is perfect for conveying that muffled snow sound feeling, when everything is heard through a pillow, especially this "asphalt serpent".

Excellent work.
