I long for her.

                  These
                  urges,
                   now
                   deep
                 desires;
          To travel the curves
          of her body, with my
          fingers, as well as
                my eyes.
              To feel her
            fingers tickle
         and stroke my cheek,
        rough, course with un-
           shaven stubble.

Stubbornly resisting the smooth,
     dance of her digits.
     The grind and gristle, left…
          behind, as her nails thread
               through my hair, then
               petting me like a hound.

Puppy love it is not,
nor rabid lust,
which blazes and burns out,
like the flash of a match.

But everlasting,
enduring,
like the rising and setting of the sun,
so eternal and full of light.

Alas, it is night,
and I long for morning.

look of love

A person being kept in the dark of uncertainty ~ awaiting the light of love.
