You know I love this poem, but I love it even more because I've heard you read it. Ever think of submitting with audio? It's even better to hear you speak the feelings than it is to read your beautiful words, which is saying a lot.

I think your poem would be even better if you omitted the last line. The theme is already obvious, and it is not really needed. - Just an opinion.
to try and capture that moment. My son and I spent the first hour of his life together in ICU. The placenta burst prior to delivery and they were being extra cautious. It scared my wife and I, but everything turned out fine. Wonderful Mat.
