Lovely sonnet, Demure, and the meter doesn't feel forced to me, something I first look for with iambic pentameter, whether it's in a sonnet or blank verse. I did think, however, "majestic way" and "darkling sky" a bit antiquated, more like something a poet might have said at the close of the nineteenth century before Messrs. Pound and Eliot came along.
through a child's eyes...a sonnet? why? what does the form do for the subject? just something to think about
