It's in the eye of beholders and where you see it
It's in the wonder of her presence
The glow when her hair, by the sunlight, is hit
Beauty is both inside and out, the skin and the soul
I've seen it in you. I've seen it grow
I've seen what you sometimes don't when you look in the mirror.
I've seen what you can't. Maybe because there're fear or
Maybe it's because the eye rarely sees
Inward to the person we know we can be.
But I've seen the person you are, and I know your flaws
I've seen the Rose petals, and felt your claws.
I'm still here though to let you know that when you look within
There is always beauty there both above and below your skin.

eye of the beholder

love the imagery of the line about love and claws... that can be taken several different ways depending on the reader
