Midnight has long since come and gone,
The goblins and ghouls are all forlorn,
You've thrown away the last of the treats,
And eaten up all those delicious sweets,
But just because you're safely at home
Doesn't mean we no longer roam,
We are Samhain's Children, the Hallowe'en frights,
And we are always here, beyond Hallowe'en night!
While you lay there warm in your soft comfy bed,
With dreams of sugarplums dancing in your head,
We're still here giving midnight chills,
And frightening the children with our perilous thrills,
Through the streets and the nightmares we go,
Calling on your fears, we ride to and we ride fro,
Just because you've turned the calendar's page
Doesn't mean we've disappeared - we don't age!
We never sleep and we never grow old!
And we never fear the coming cold...
Graveyards are chill and so are winter evenings,
This new season upon you is so quietly deceiving,
Just because you can't see us doesn't mean we aren't there,
So watch yourself as you walk, travel cautiously, with care,
We're the ghouls and the ghosts and the dreadfully beautiful witches,
We're the zombies underfoot and the monsters with stitches,
We're the spiders and bugs and the creeps that crawl,
And just because Samhain has passed doesn't mean much at all,
We're still here, you see, scaring you in your sleep,
And you thought so innocently that your safety you'd keep,
Hiding under the covers, telling yourself Hallowe'en has passed?
We're the remnants of the witching hour, and our power lasts and lasts...
Just because you don't see us doesn't mean we aren't here,
And in the darkest hours of the night, we'll still give you something to fear,
So go back to bed and pretend it's now November,
Keep on dreaming through all of December,
We're here through Christmas lights and January champagne,
We're still here scaring through Valentine's and Easter rain,
Summer is a blur with the heat and the sun,
And when you creep upstairs, you'll still tend to run,
Dash into your bed because the autumn will come!
And then you'll see us for real, little ones!
Just because you tell yourself there's nothing to cause your fright
Doesn't mean we don't exist...BEYOND Hallowe'en Night!!

Just a quick suggestion to break this up into easier to read stropes; looks like it'd work with quatrains, with a finishing couplet. It's a nice fun read.
