From the start,
I’d always understood,
That I wouldn’t be,
Allowed to keep you,

I guess it’s hard,
To remember,
You’re like a butterfly,
Eventually I’ll have to let you go,
And watch you fly away,

So that you can test your wings,
So you can learn to fly,
You need so much more,
Then what I can give you,

How do I come to terms,
With the fact that I’m,
The one that has to decide,
When to say goodbye,

I know I love you,
I know you love me,
But that the question is,
Do I love you enough,
To let you go?
