Tender is the heart that loves, so easy to bruise
I've hurt, I've bled each time believing it was the last
My heart has been full so much that it’s blinded my vision
My heart has felt emptiness at such a depth that I had to
Lock it away to keep from harming myself.
From one to the next leaving a bleeding trail
Sad to say it was not my blood that marked the trail
With every heart felt melody whispered from their lips
My heart hardened more
Me and me alone has always seemed
Perfect, no pain no loneliness just me, just me.
Deep are the wounds of the soul.

Then I saw you and lost all control
Something changed deep inside; I had and still have no
Idea what.
But my spirit felt it that day, I feel it still
You and I have been before the connection is too strong
We are barely in the same room together at any one time
Yet with my heart I feel as though we always are
It is beyond me how such a connection can exist

Tender are the scars that never heal,
Deep is the pain that love strengthens
As each day passes
Drowning always drowning
How can the simple sound of a smile from you
Turn me inside out
The way your eyes look at me, the way your eyes speak to me
The way your body beckons mine and I have no
Sense of me,
Ow my God I've lost my heart or rather I've
Recklessly given it away again.

In all this confusion, clarity call it what you may
My heart sings an ancient song a song so strong that I have no
Way of ignoring it
I'm in love deeply sadly hopelessly happily I feel love
I have lost my will to find my shoes, I can’t seem to leave
For once I wait for life to unravel in front of me,
With only one hope, the hope that fate spares my heart this one time.
