He asked for a cup of coffee
to sober him up
before he went home
to the wife.
I took him back to my place
measured the grounds
poured the water
and turned to him.

"I know why you're really here."
I walked to where he sat-
helpless-
pulled off my dress
and knelt in front of him.
He threw back his head
put his hands in my hair.
"Yes, oh baby, yes."

The next day
I drank the coffee
iced.

This made me laugh out loud - so vivid!. I'd love to see a series of these to the point episodes. "I know why you are really here". Loved that. I've both said it...and had it said to me :)

Ending stanza:

was a riot. Cut and dry delivery made it zing. Well done.
