I thought I'd be annoyed by the line breaks in S1. I'm not, you draw us down that list until we realize how it's possible to neglect people we love. Mentioned on the New Poems Review thread in Literotica's Poetry Feedback and Discussion Forum.
<br><br>I read this and read it and knew: I was in the presence of that light, ethereal giver of joy, a poet in control of her lines. <br><br>
I was racing through those single-word lines when I realized the punctuation after each word was a period inviting me to slow down and experience the richness to be had from savouring each line and experiencing the cumulation of the lines more strongly because each line was so bare in appearance, though loaded in significance.<br><br>
By the end of the poem, having experienced the glow of a cared-for woman, one is left with a deepened appreciation of the qualities of a caring man.<br><br>
The poet paints a compellingly vivid picture, allowing one to exist comfortably in the world described and that implied, simultaneously.<br><br>
