You sit in your corner,
And I’ll sit in mine,
I’ll keep my distance,
If you keep yours,

What was once right,
Now seems so wrong,
If this is your dance,
I want to bow out now,

You keep treading on my toes,
Leading me where I shouldn’t go,

I won’t let your corruption,
Taint me I’m not like you,
I can’t do the things you do,
Just because you say you care,

I need to dance to my own music,
I need to sing my own song,

Your corner seems so lonely,
I wish you’d listen to me,
Especially when I say,
You don’t have to do it alone,

Don’t let your chance pass,
Didn’t anyone tell you
To reach for the stars?
