Dear Ben
Remember me?
Or did you erase me from your mind as easily as you did your phone book.
I'm still here,
Yet now I don't crave your touch as much.
I don't need to look into your eyes,
Or breathe in your scent, the one that left me breathless.

No text to say goodbye,
Or call to let me know.
Hanging on in uncertain hope,
Now dashed into the same shards as my heart.
I swept all those pieces away months ago,
Yet I couldn't erase that last text message.

When I pass you ,close by.
Which happens, you know that too,
Why look away as if I were nothing,
Unless that was what you always thought.
Don't worry, I won't try to talk to you,
Or call you back to my life.

It has taken two years Ben,
Of crying,hopeless into my pillow,
The girl who would live, die and bleed for you,
Went away a long time ago.
She left a numb gap, just like the one you left,
A rose too sweet for this life,
She is no more.
