By the lake side

you spot a shaped pebble

you pick it up and set it between your fingers and thumb

pronate your arm and

hurl it right across the placid water

and, it begins a spirited journey

skimming again and again

in pulsating bounces

delighting you,

defying the nature's nature

until it gently immerses

in calm abyss

and

with a tranquil smile, it begins savouring

buoyant journey it had,

the wet air it kissed,

deft fingers it was held in

a fleeting journey, of eternal imprints
