The walls were closing.
I could not breathe.
Scared of losing everything.
I saw the light.
I realized the choice was easy.
I saw the one person that will always be here.
That has gone through everything.
Has pushed forward through each storm.
I choose me.
I have made commitments that I plan to keep.
As long as it is a mutual effort, then I will fight.
I am not afraid if it does not work.
I know who I am and what I need.
I will not accept anything less.
I cannot take on everything at once.
I cannot change suddenly.
I am going to take one thing at a time and work on it.
Decide what I can better or what I need to let go.
If in the end my own flesh and blood does not love me, then so be it.
Love me for me, or nothing at all.
I finally found out who I am.
I will not lose myself again.
I will not forget it.
I will not look the other way.
I will not cover it up.
I will not deny it.
I am here to stay.
Finally, my eyes are open.
