This one is a bit obscure without an image or other info to help place it in perspective. But the writing is very powerful. It's not an "easy" poem to understand right off, but then who says poetry should always be easy? :)

Adding to what Ange said, this feels very much like writing inspired by a particular image or drawing. It's very compelling, almost forcing the reader to create an image in his mind. Which is, after all, part of what good poetry consists of; the other being to create a feeling in the reader's mind.
Interesting structure, would like to know why? At first glance it looks like to serve a rhyme scheme AxABB, instead of just AxAx, it may suffer a little because of it.
