Does the poem deal with cutting? I'm not sure what causes the bleeding. I'm assuming a blade but it could be a whip.

I've read about cutting and how people actually cut intricate designs into their lover's skin. It sounds very erotic. (Though, I'm a "don't break the skin" kind of gal. lol)
