I follow my leader
No question from my lips
I draw my sword
My sheath still at my hips

I am a Soldier

I charge straight ahead
Screaming my battle cry
I cut, slash, and destroy
Everything in my way shall die

I am a Soldier

I am covered in blood
Standing in a field of crimson red
I look around me
Hardly anyone moves, most are dead

I am a Soldier

I feel a sharp sting
My hand reaches towards my head
I feel only warm liquid
My sword drops, suddenly as heavy as lead

I am a Soldier

I fall to the ground
Knowing this will be my final resting spot
I close my eyes
As my leader flees, leaving us to rot

I am a Soldier

I let out my last breath
Remembering what our cause had been
I die now for nothing
I know now what I should have seen then

I am a Fool
