I thought that he was different,
And he could be the one,
But it figures,
I was wrong again,
He was playin' me all along,
Guys like him don't like me,
I won't kiss the ground he walks,
And I won't sit and look in awe,
Everytime he talks,

Cause I'm a strong woman,
And I don't,
Need a man to define me,
I'm independant,
And I don't
Need someone to defend me,
I'm a soul sista,
And yeah mista,
There's a brain up in this head,
If he's my man,
I wanna walk beside him,
I don't wanna be led,

I bet I can guess what he likes,
But ha,
I won't play that game,
I am what I am,
I'm not gonna change,
I stay now and ever the same,
One day I'll meet a guy who'll,
Just like me for me,
From my cool and calm demeanour,
To my healthy self-esteem.

way to go!

I love your attitude and you expressed your feelings well. Don't ever let one "own" you.
