A whisper,
a cry,
a hiss,
and a sigh.
A cackle,
a slap,
a pinch,
and a clap.
A whimper,
a moan,
a gurgle,
and a groan.
These are the things that make them sing;
the whip,
the hand,
the crack,
and the sting.
