sometimes the shorter poems (Haiku) have the longest of interpretations! I really like this thought provoking piece.

Why do we find it so easy to look back and so impossible to look forward when that is indeed the way we are going?

This isn't actually a Haiku (although I might try one of those now you've mentioned it!) just a short piece that I thought had a poetic ring to it ~

Brilliant as usual. Such few words, and yet so thought-provoking. Pity that 5 marks is the maximum permitted - I would have given more.

but I cannot compete with this short poem. What a lot of meaning in such a concise work. I agree - brilliant!

looking back's the way to decay

just chiming in, this is my favorite of your poems here. All hail simplicity. the last line is one that will stay with me.

I was going to suggest you consider shortening the last phrase from the second line (hell if it hasn't left my brain) but when I read it, the sound of it, it needed to be there.

Is this more of a senryu? Doesn't have to "be" anything, just thought it might fit the bill.
