May 1:

Mayday - Mayday - Mayday
calendar cries alert
while I help my lover
look for her skirt,
Dropped it here somewhere
blouse and panties too
no longer necessary
for what we planned to do,

Opened the front door
kissed her on the mouth
ran my hands along her
quickly north to south,
Undid a couple buttons
then undid them all
left a trail of clothing
down the bedroom hall,

Panties, the final fabric
slipped my hand within
laughed, squirmed, wiggled
eager to begin,
Quickly slid them down
over thighs, knees, toes
dropped them somewhere on the floor
God only knows,

In the bed with did it
a lovely April screw
when we left the club
it was what we planned to do,
We slept close together
lethargic sex delight
now, I know our clothes are somewhere
we were wearing them last night ...
