I have waited for blue skies
and muddy, melting earth
to bring the “tomorrow” she’ll descend
through fluffy bright clouds.
For the very first time
I will call her Isabelle,
or maybe Paris,
or perhaps, Simply Beautiful.
It doesn’t matter,
I am just thrilled
that I will call her
and she’ll be mine.
Like every one else I loved it and I was moved by it and I cheered for both of you wishing you every thing you'll need to be happy.
This poem made me feel warm reading it, a happy, sunshine kind of warm. Wonderful, thank you.
It's sad that the first thing I noticed about this poem was the punctuation! I really enjoyed the rhythm you gave this with the spacing of commas and periods.
That said, the poem itself is lovely. I haven't had any coffee, and am refusing to have any, so any more intellectual thought than that just isn't coming today. :)
Great poem. Reminds me, in some ways, of something I'd write.
Look forward to seeing what you write next, good poet.
