Moths circle and chant
Around and around they go
Back off they can’t
Drawn to the motion
The shadows and heat
Moths dive deeply
Their ends do they meet
The men dance around her
Moths to the flame
Circling and diving
Screaming her name
The muse knows not
A flaming heart she holds
Hope clutched close
Love opening the folds
She seeks for the one
Dancing around the flame
Courage he has
Regardless of his shame
Moths dance around her
Their wings singed black
Her flame is a song
Sanity they lack
She cries for each one
They know not what they have done
Life snuffed out quickly
Passions flame, ejaculating sun
Tears of a muse
Lost and depressed
Life has no meaning
She prays for a rest
Lust filled rivers
Absmal and fast
Her flame extinguished
She prays for the last
The moth that circled
So far and so slow
Her heart flickers
Trust does he sow
Eternal strength
Her weakness revealed
A muse so human
Her fate once sealed
Forever alone
Past to atone
The muse cries freely
Afraid to believe
Falling to her knees
She begs and she pleads
Patience and kindness
Love to fill her needs
Dancing moth, to and fro
Uncertain of where to go
To her and away
Now he can’t say
Patience and balance
Lessons learned
Infinite life
Flame incessantly burns
Submissive she dreams
Broken and used
Awaiting her moth
Master to the muse
cassually begins with the moths attraction to the flame
then the infactuation the power the poetic nature of the moths demise drawn....great concept
Very detailed, love it. Great images. Think about adding a little more to some of the lines to make it the same count throughout. I know a lot of people say at times that it's too much, but I have to disagree. In this type of poetry, it needs more words. Don't forget the counting- it will really help with the flow. You're gonna kill me if I keep saying that, aren't you?! LOL!
