I saw a falling star,
I made a wish.
The wish I made upon that falling star,
was simply this.

I wished that on this day,
my desires would be known.
That I might find a love that,
I could truly call my own.

I wished that they would love me,
like I’ve always fantasized.
That I could see the love they felt,
when I looked into their eyes.

My heart would jump for joy,
as my soul began to smile.
My body would feel strong enough,
to swim the golden Nile.

There would be no doubt,
that they were here for me.
And I was here to love them,
for all eternity.

But how could I entrust my dreams,
to something so bizarre.
For it was just a wish I made,
upon a falling star.

Very true...

how we often entrust our wishes to a mere fleeing and unreachable object.

Yep

I think we've all made

the same wish at some

point in time, we all want

to love and be loved.

Loved this

But how could I entrust my dreams,

to something so bizarre.

For it was just a wish I made,

upon a falling star.

Nice work.

Thanks.
