capturing of the fear and anxiety that often accompanies pregnancy and impending motherhood. Very few of us have not experienced that growing uneasiness as the months pass.
Well done, SIMA.
I loved the first part of your poem, thought the imagery evoked an internal search/awareness, particularly here:
she is less
of what i met
so long ago,
and these days,
she's convinced
that there is happiness
ready to be birthed
from a womb
full of self loathing.
I felt this part was the strength of the poem, the bridge if you will. Nice job, Sima.
Excellent poem, she_is_my_addiction. I can take this many ways. Flowed smoothly down the page. Good work!
This was well written. It simplicity allowed the emotions to flow. Overwhelming sadness. I saw this woman, keeping herself busy with all the outside things concerning giving birth.. not stopping for one minute and understanding the importance of herself being loved...
nice write..

As are all your works. The only thing to try...take out one of the "fulls" (probably the second one) I think the poem reads a little smoother with just one "full'.
I love the flow of this, the evocation of feelings with just a few simple well thought out words. Well done.
I liked it... it read more like a story than poem. Very nice :)
