Really like this one of yours. I have read your paragraphed poems (I do not know the correct technical term) but never been able to quite get into them before. This one rocks (sorry – appalling phrase but it fits).
Did not get the reference to Delbene (even with Googling) – different country, different political scandals I suspect.
The phrases and images invoked intrigue and do seem to flow and fit together. I particularly liked the last line –‘it made sense at the time’. It doesn’t to me but I do like it a lot.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm doing word prompts and was researching the Gaia principle and thought it would be perfect for what I was feeling. Delbene is a reference to the Marquis de Sade's _Juliette_. Juliette is housed at a convent and Delbene prepares her for a life of sadism and prostitution. One could argue that Delbene was more than a cat-house madame; she taught Juliette how to survive using the body as commodity.
