I love you
but never the urgent clawing
that shreds us into attempts of creating perfect memories

as we run on a 72hr clock
our romantic weekends are more desperate than the absence

the anticipation fatiguing
the beginning primed melancholy by the end to come

I always intend to be decadent
but shocking is perfunctory when done on a schedule

true decadence is in the luxury of waste
when valued moments can be spent frivolous
