Everything that seeps through your fingertips is brilliant. Enough said.
Thanks, softsmile. Pep, too, and everyone else who liked the poem. Much appreciated.
This one has me smiling as I sip my coffee! Such a playful way of saying it's and its are not the same. *happy sigh*
"The eyes are its, those eyes are hers."
All depends upon context.
I originally thought it should be 'hers' also; in fact I wrote it that way. After thinking about it, I realized it should 'her.' Replace 'its' in a sentence with 'her' and you will see.
Examples: He saw its eyes. He saw her eyes.
Why does there have to be so many meanings behind three simple letters? Thanks for pointing it out in such an ingenious way. Loved it!

Thanks, and thanks to twelveoone, also.
and if you write one about the misuse of "loose" for "lose" you will be my hero!
One suggestion: I think some of your poems are coming up double-spaced because you are cutting and pasting them into the submission form. Maybe not, but that happens to mine sometimes and if you aren't checking when you submit you'll get a unintentional double-spacer. (Just tryin to help. :-) )
