How strange that ‘anonymous’ should choose Susan and this poem. Because he or she refers to 1201, it is not just a lobotomised stray from one of the other hubs.
These days I tend to only comment on Susan’s poems that hit home the hardest to me. This, as virtually always, has strong and evocative phrases. Fair enough that the style is not everyone’s cup of tea – but anonymous and suggesting that Susan expects high marks because people don’t dare say what they think? People usually vote for what or who they particularly like regardless of much else - and leave all the rest. So commenter is not the brightest or most perceptive.
Very nice response from Susan. Easy to see which one is the more intelligent person.
I don't care for your words. But, I respect them. I wrote a piece for you called "On Bad Poetry." I've shown you mine, now, how's about taking a look at yours?
bad poetry sort of explains itself, dontcha think? and it would a hard stretch to call this prose OR poetry. you might have talent, but it is buried beneath awful form and even worse text. this is just an observation, but it seems that some people who submit poetry here expect readers to give them a high vote just because they don't have the balls to say it sucks. except for 1201. his might be harsh but he speaks the truth
