Yes, I love this poem. I know how it feels when you are treated that way. Hope you are doing ok!
Lament for a love lost to another. Wishes and admonishments as she closes love's door. A poetic pearl!
She has felt the pain
Has learned well his lessons
And now she's gone
And someone will learn
Tomcats are eternal and unchanged
As are their stripes
Yeah, I know that's in the poem. Here, I'm talking about setting up metered rhyming patterns, and then abandoning them. Metaphorically, you made a vow and broke it.
Like I said, we're cursed by the choices we make.
This poem is worth tightening the meter.
I thought this was going to be an angry poem, but it turned out to be a very sad one instead. I could really feel the hurt. Nice job.
